NEW JERSEY DOG ADOPTION | Canine Orphanage, Adopt a Dog
Wilma's Orphans Inc. in New Jersey is a small not-for-profit [501c3] dog [only] rescue located in Jackson NJ that works very hard finding permanent homes for dogs who need a second, third or even fourth chance at happiness.
It is a one-woman operation, and I am that woman. My name is Wilma, and I've been interested in dogs all my life. After retiring from the business world it seemed only natural to follow my dream and my passion both of which involved working with dogs, and so Wilma's Orphans Inc. came into being.
Our Objective
The main objective is to rescue homeless and unwanted dogs with adoption to loving forever families the end result.
Every dog is seen by a veterinarian regardless of where it came from.
They are given their rabies and distemper vaccinations, wormed and complete blood panels taken. All dogs are spayed or neutered before adoption. If there is a medical or physical problem it is taken care of to the best of my ability. Each dog's temperament and personality is well-known so prospective adopters are fully informed before adopting.
There are a variety of dog breeds, mixes, sizes, shapes, sexes, ages and colors.
Our dog adoption process consists of an application, home visit, contract, and donation. Please look at all the sweet faces imploring you to take them home. You just might find the "love of your life" at Wilma's Orphans. Give us a call, (516) 641-1288, and come see.
